Our group of a dozen enthusiastic crafters meet on Wednesdays in the Old Hall from 1pm till 3pm.
We aim to ensure that traditional skills are not lost and to enjoy learning new and different crafts.
Some of our recent projects have been iris folding, embossing, silk painting, ribbon n' roses cards and patchwork.
We enjoy having a chat as we work and homemade cakes are served midway through the afternoon.
Also, we had a coffee morning in the church where we displayed our work and raised money for the Tsunami Appeal.
We were able to get to know one another better on the journey and over a relaxing meal together.
The new session started on Wednesday, 6th September with Pat Moore (The Horsforth card-making expert!) showing us how to make 'K cards'. This proved quite a challenge, but well worth the effort.
Anna Haley has returned to help us complete our trapursto cushions (Italian quilting) and this week and next we are making padded and beaded coat-hangers which would make nice gifts.
Two members have joined us this term - its always good to meet new folk.
