Thank you to anyone who has sent a donation towards kidney cancer research. We have managed to raise over £800 so far which is wonderful. Kidney cancer is a killer, does not respond to chemo and is only held at bay sometimes by various drugs.
Thank you also for your continuing support and prayers for Karen and the family
God bless you all

Dan,

Thanks for the message left on the church website. I don't see a problem with allowing people from the church and local community advertising goods and services via the forum - it depends what is being offered/sold. Feel free to use the forum to post 'for sale' and 'house to share' type messages. As you've noticed the site is moderated so I'll be checking that only appropriate material is displayed.

A big thankyou to Wesley Owen Book Shop for the recent comments/adverts for books giving a Christian perspective on the Harry Potter books. This has inspired me to create book and film 'review' sections on our Resources page, and I have moved the comments to this new section. To all our members and guests, please feel free to use this forum to share your views on books you've read and films you've seen. If appropriate I will copy your comments into the Resources pages.

The prayer labrynth was really great thanks for organising it cliff. It was a really nice oppertunity to go round doing different activities spending time with God. it had a really nice atmosphere to it aswell. My favourite activity was sitting in Gods presence listening to the music and focusing on the words.
The website is really good too now. I like the new logo of the beacon and the sermons and notices are great.

Hi Clifford and Kev,
this is great, just listening to Andy's sermon from beginning of Nov on prayer. Such a useful tool especially if you miss a week. Looking forward to the time when we have live broadcast like at my sister's church in San Fransisco. Keep up the good work. Love Dot and Trev & TRe

Haven't looked at he site for a while, just checked it out.
Thanks for putting it together Clifford. It's really encouraging to see all the activities happening in and out of the church. The youth work is so exciting and it's good to join with other churches across the city for the X-cite and Create events. Look forward to more info and photo's in the future.
May God continue to Bless all the work and people at Lister Hill.
