A Word in Time

What is it all about?
A Word In Time is a daily Bible study using the readings set in the Methodist Prayer Handbook 2007/8: All Things In Christ.

Users can post their own comments, thoughts or questions on each day's featured passage. This can help focus meditation, and can be a way of sharing and helping others.

How will the studies work?
A Word in Time is specifically designed to be a tool which readers can use to make sense of the Bible themselves.

Each page features a Bible reading with explanations, commentary, thoughts and questions, which are designed to help and empower the reader to apply the Bible to their own life and the social and political context in which they live.

Who is writing the studies?
All the writers have a close connection with the Methodist Church. They come from across the Connexion and cover a wide range of theological and social backgrounds.

Why?
This is a unique opportunity to bring together the Methodist Connexion, the 40,000 plus readers of the Methodist Prayer Handbook and individual web-users who are seeking to add a spiritual element to their everyday ‘web life’.

We hope A Word in Time will help to put the Bible back where it belongs - at the centre of our daily lives.
